Paradise Lost

I really wanted to visit a church while I was in Crete and we stumbled upon this absolutely gorgeous monastery in the Hills of souther Crete. Just walking through the gates made me feel at ease and tranquil. I thought to myself that if this must be heaven or a sprinkling of paradise lost on earth. These pictures really don't do this utterly magical place any justice!
